Each of these distinctive retainers is handmade from Japanese glass beads by artisans from the “Beads for Life” women’s cooperative in Nepal, so your glasses are both truly unique and an expression of your social commitment.

The Swiss jewellery label OBO has set itself the task of creating distinctive pieces of jewellery and accessories from high-quality, ethically correct materials – in close cooperation with the “Beads for Life” women’s cooperative.
Based in Kathmandu, the cooperative offers fair wages and working conditions, promotes the economic independence of its employees, and thus creates a sustainable livelihood.
