Our store is situated at a prime location in Charlottenburg in central Berlin. Charlottenburg is a trendy neighbourhood and our flagship store there is easy to reach by public transport. It’s just a short distance from the Ku'damm. You can take the underground to the Uhlandstrasse stop and then reach us in a few minutes on foot. Numerous bus and tram lines also stop directly on Knesebeckstrasse. If you come to us by bicycle, you will also find ample places to park your bike in Charlottenburg. Our store on Knesebeckstrasse opened in 2022 and is the third VIU store in Germany’s capital city. I already have a prescription for lenses. Can I get my new glasses made in the VIU store in Charlottenburg?
Yes, if you already have a prescription or a card with your current vision parameters, you can visit our store at any time. However, please be sure that in addition to the standard dioptre, cylinder and axis data, your prescription or card also specifies your pupil distance (PD). We need this information in order to optimally manufacture your prescription eyewear. If you do not have these values or if you feel that they are no longer up to date, you can always schedule an appointment for a free eye test.
Can I have my eyes tested in Berlin even without an appointment?
Yes, but we recommend that you avoid waiting times in the store by going online and scheduling an appointment in advance. Whenever possible, our opticians will be happy to test your vision without delay.
How long does an eye test take at VIU in Berlin?
An eye test usually takes no longer than twenty minutes. You should plan about half an hour for your visit to our flagship store on Knesebeckstraße in Charlottenburg.
