The perfect glasses for your face

The perfect glasses for your face

Whether angular, oval or round, there’s a perfect frame for every face shape. Here you can find out how to find the right model for you.

VIU glasses accentuate your character – but only when the frame perfectly harmonizes with the shape of your face. In addition to the shape of the eyewear and the shape of your face, you should also consider the fit and the frame size. We show you how to find the right eyewear for you.

Angular faces

The forehead, cheeks and chin are evenly shaped on angular faces, but the jaw tends to be more pronounced – making the face look more distinctive. Circular and oval lenses, as well as aviator and cat-eye glasses, flatter angular faces, soften their stern-looking features and give them a softer expression.

Oval faces

All parts of the face are harmonious and absolutely balanced. An oval face is twice as long as it is wide, which makes the forehead and chin appear rather narrow, while the cheeks are more pronounced. Whether angular or round, discreet or extravagant – all shapes suit an oval face. The only rule is: not too small and not too big.

Round faces

The forehead and cheeks of round faces are about the same width and the chin is rounded. All parts of the face are evenly shaped so the face looks softer overall. A rectangular frame shape would be preferable to give more contour to a round face. This frame shape makes a round face look longer and somewhat narrower.
