How can I insure my VIU glasses with a VIUplus insurance?

VIUplus is exclusively available in the VIU flagship stores. The insurance cover can be bought during ordering or pick-up of your new glasses in your VIU flagship store.

Which glasses can be insured?

VIUplus insurance can be bought for new prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses.

Can I insure my existing VIU glasses?

Unfortunately, not. Insurance is only possible for new VIU glasses and can be bought during ordering or pick-up of your new glasses in your VIU flagship store.

Where should I go in case of damage, theft or loss of my glasses?

Please first inform the police and then visit a VIU flagship store in the country where you bought your glasses and insurance to report the damage, theft or loss of your glasses. Don’t forget to bring your damaged glasses or in case of theft the police report.

Who is VIU's insurance partner?

The insurer behind VIUplus is Chubb Insurance (Switzerland) Ltd.

What happens if I don’t use the insurance?

After 24 months the insurance will automatically be terminated. In case you haven’t used the insurance (no claim was made), you’ll receive your insurance premium as a discount on your next VIU glasses. The discount will be valid within 3 months after the termination of your insurance.
