NEW: Individual Comfort progressive lenses

Evolution of the progressive lens name with the addition of Comfort

The new addition of Comfort directly addresses the needs of our customers. It does not focus on the technology, but rather on the tangible benefit: greater comfort in everyday life.

We always recommend choosing our Individual varifocal lenses. With them, you will discover a totally new level of visual comfort that will noticeably improve your quality of life and enable you to see the world with new eyes – and, of course, at the best price.

By the way: varifocal lenses are also available in a version with ultraviolet protection for your sunglasses.

When do I need progressive glasses?

If you constantly have to switch between different glasses (for near and far) and are tired of the constant putting on and taking off, it's time for a pair of VIU progressive glasses. With just one pair of glasses, you cover all visual ranges and never lose focus – across all distances.

Do my eyes get used to progressive lenses?

No. The lenses merely correct the existing deficit of your eyes – nothing more! The right pair of glasses does not make your eyes lazy or worsen your eyesight.

Where do lenses from VIU come from?

At VIU, we are committed to uncompromising quality. Our lenses come from Swiss and German manufacturers and are crafted by our partners Optiswiss and Optovision. With coatings like anti-reflective, hard coat, and UV protection, we guarantee first-class vision and longevity.

How do I get used to my VIU progressive glasses?

1. Start calmly
Take your time to get used to your new glasses and explore the different visual zones, for example, while you are reading a book or watching TV. Your familiar environment is the best place for this.

2. Precise movements
To always see sharply, guide your gaze with head movements, not just with your eyes. This way, you automatically use the correct area of the lens – the upper part for distance, the middle for the intermediate range, and the lower for reading.

3. Do you still have questions?
Initially, it can happen that your peripheral vision appears slightly distorted. This is a natural part of the adaptation and usually settles within a few days. Should you not have fully gotten used to your glasses after two weeks, feel free to contact us. Our optician team will ensure that you can use your VIU glasses optimally.

How much do VIU progressive glasses cost?

Our progressive glasses start at €395 / 595 CHF (Classic). We always recommend opting for the Individual, from €735.

The progressive technology replaces at least two pairs of glasses in your daily life (for distance and near).

The manufacturing of progressive lenses is many times more complex and elaborate, and therefore also more cost-intensive.
