1. RAFFLE

The raffle is organised by VIU AT GmbH, Neubaugasse 36, 1070 Wien, Austria (hereinafter referred to as the “organiser” or “VIU”). Participation is possible from the first minute of 1 December 2023 until one minute before midnight on 31 December 2023.

By entering, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the raffle. The organiser will select the winners at its own discretion from all entries. Participation in the raffle and its implementation are governed by the following provisions. Multiple entries do not increase the likelihood of winning.

2. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS

All natural persons who have agreed to the conditions of participation and who are at least 18 years old may participate in the raffle. It is a condition of participation that all information provided by a participant in the context of the raffle must be true and correct. This applies in particular to the personal details provided. VIU employees are excluded from the sweepstake.

3. PARTICIPATION

In order to participate in the raffle, participants must complete the following task during the period of the campaign: participants must share the Ambassador code with friends and family members who are new to VIU. The Ambassador code can be redeemed with the first purchase of eyewear either online or in a VIU store. Each new customer who places an order counts towards entry into the raffle. You can give the Ambassador code to as many as ten friends, family members and acquaintances. (The more Ambassador codes redeemed, the greater the likelihood of your winning the exclusive trip).

4. PRIZES

The following prizes will be raffled off among all participants who provided the required information: a trip to the Dolomites for two people with a three-night stay in a five-star luxury hotel including ¾ gourmet board, free use of the spa area and all inclusive services. (A stay in the month of August and around New Year's Eve is excluded).

5. PRIZE DRAWING

The winner will be selected at the sole discretion of the organiser from all VIU Ambassadors who complete the raffle task. Cash payment of the prize is not possible.

6. NOTIFICATION

Winners will be contacted by the organiser via email after the end of the raffle using the contact details provided by the entrant as part of the entry process. If the winner cannot be contacted within fourteen days, the winner’s claim to the prize will be forfeited.

7. RIGHTS

Furthermore, by entering, the entrant grants the organiser the right to publish the entrant’s first name, shortened surname and place of residence on the social media channels (@viueyewear) in the event that the entrant wins the prize. 

8. EXCLUSION

The organiser may exclude from the raffle any entrant who manipulates or attempts to manipulate the entry process and/or breaches these terms and conditions and/or otherwise unfairly and/or dishonestly attempts to influence the raffle or its implementation, in particular by interfering with the software used or by threatening or harassing the organiser’s staff or other entrants.

10. LIABILITY

The organiser shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by errors, delays or interruptions in transmission, faults in technical equipment or service, inaccurate content, loss or deletion of data, viruses or other mishaps arising in the context of the participation, unless such loss or damage is caused by the organiser or its agents intentionally, through gross negligence or through breach of fundamental contractual obligations, which are defined as those obligations the performance of which characterises the contract and on which the participant may rely. Liability for damages caused by negligence is limited to the amount of damages foreseeable at the time of conclusion of the contract and typical for the contract.

This exclusion or limitation of liability does not cover damages resulting from injury to life, body or health. The organiser is not liable for the insolvency of a cooperating partner or for the consequences resulting from such insolvency for the implementation and handling of the raffle.

11. PROVISO

The organiser reserves the right to cancel or terminate the raffle at any time without notice and without giving any reason if, for technical reasons (e.g., viruses in the computer system, tampering or faults in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons or for any other reason, the proper conduct of the raffle cannot or can no longer be guaranteed.

12. CHOICE OF LAW

The law of Austria shall apply. This choice of law applies to consumers only to the extent that it does not deprive them of the protection afforded to them by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which they have their habitual residence.

13. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE

Should any provision of these conditions of participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, this invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these conditions of participation. In place of the invalid provision, the legally permissible provision that comes closest in economic terms to the meaning and purpose expressed in the invalid provision shall apply. The same shall apply in the event of a loophole in these conditions of participation.
