In May 2022, the limited VIU×AWS Edition was launched: a sunglasses model available in four color variants, developed in collaboration with the award-winning design studio After Work Studio from Basel, which won the Design Prize Switzerland 2019. Inspired by the AWS SS22 Capsule Collection «Losing Track of Time», these four sporty yet elegant sunglasses – named 6am, 12am, 6pm and 12pm – each embody a different time of day to create a look that can be worn around the clock.

The quartet of VIU×AWS sunglasses naturally combine lucid Swiss design with After Work Studio’s creative essence. 6am (Jade), 12am (Black), 6pm (Lavender) and 12pm (Pearl Stone) are statement frames in futuristic flat-top design. Each frame is handmade in Italy from the finest premium acetate.

Outdoor jackets and playful knit pieces define the identity of AWS. Expressive graphic elements, an undeniable sense of functionality, and a keen awareness of proportions and volume are the main characteristics of the Swiss label, which was awarded the Design Prize Switzerland in 2019. All AWS knitwear is produced by Textil AG Huttwil, one of the last Swiss knitting manufacturers. The pieces that emerge from this creative partnership shape the strong and distinctive identity of AWS while also contributing to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and promoting social sustainability. Since 2016, AWS has also been producing jackets and other garments with the medium-sized family business SLOWFASHIONFAST near Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thanks to the launch of aws twentyfourseven, AWS has offered a line of fully Swiss-made knit permanents since 2020. AWS was founded in 2016 by fashion designer Karin Wüthrich and graphic designer Matthias Fürst.
